I was born in the heart of Bastar, India, a land known for its raw beauty, tribal heritage, and deep-rooted artistry.

My childhood was stitched together with stories of tradition, color, and craft. While school laid my academic foundation, the real education happened at home, watching my elder sisters, Nisha and Diksha, build their own paths with courage and creativity.

I was just 16 when I started my first clothing venture, an online store on Instagram, back when online shopping was still catching fire in India. I didn’t have a fancy setup, just a vision, a phone, and the hunger to build something of my own.

That spark followed me to Nagpur, where I pursued my BBA at GH Raisoni College, and later to Pune, for an MBA at Symbiosis University, where every business lesson met a dream already in motion.

Growing up in a Marwadi business family, dinner table conversations were rarely about TV shows, they were mostly about business ideas with “What if we try this?” These brainstorming sessions with my sisters were the highlight of my nights.

Nisha built a soulful handicraft brand, Ocher, where I spent my early years learning the ropes of craft and commerce. Diksha was a digital whiz, obsessed with marketing long before the world caught on. Together, they weren’t just role models, they shaped my vision, inspired my hustle, and quietly lit the path I’d eventually walk.

In 2023, at the age of 21, I finally turned my online hustle into something tangible, my first brick-and-mortar store in Bastar, named Florista.

But life had more in store! That same year, on a casual trip to Dubai with my sisters, over a cup of coffee and yet another business discussion, the idea of Ocher Clothing was born. It was electric. Instant. A moment where everything just clicked.

And so began the real journey…

The Heart of Ocher Clothing 

Ocher Clothing is a soul project, one that breathes life into India’s ancestral crafts and reimagines them for today’s generation. We're rooted in the old but shaped for the new.

It starts in Jaipur, where wood is carved into beautiful printing blocks, some designed by us, others sourced with care. These blocks meet fabrics dyed with natural, earthy pigments. Our skilled karigars, some of whom come from generations of artisans, use these blocks to create textiles that sing stories of heritage.

This same cloth is then stitched into contemporary silhouettes that fit seamlessly into the wardrobes of Gen Z and modern-day minimalists.

Traditionally tied to ethnic wear, block print now dances across modern cuts and Gen Z-ready fits, because heritage should never be out of style.

Our most loved design? The Lobster Print. A bold, quirky symbol of how tradition can have a sense of humor too.

To me, Ocher Clothing is not just a brand. It’s a bridge. Between generations. Between tradition and trend. Between where I come from and where I dream of going.

In just two years, we’ve gone from Bastar to Dubai, building a community that feels like home. And this is only the beginning.
